Re: Flooding on the Underground
Ok, you're all pretty much there and Jobe was right if he meant what it actually was and not the real thing:
It's at Universal Studios in Florida and is a reconstruction ride that takes you on an underground train into a station where it comes to a halt and then the tremours start.... and they get bigger until it is the equivalent of an earthquake measuring 8 on the Richter scale. It is very drmatic, the roadway above the station collapses through the roof, a tanker slides down into the station and explodes (extremely hot!) and then there is a huge flood comes rushing down the two stairwells.... 20,000 gallons of water in about 12 seconds! Even though you are right next to it, you get only minor splasing due to the clever way they build these things.
It truly is very dramatic and capturing a photo is not easy as you are being shaken all over the place in the train. This photo is the one I was delighted with. You are not getting to see the other 50-odd that are a mess! But hey, you only need one good one to have a memory forever :o)
So, any comments on the picture itself? (Thanks Skip for yours, much appreciated).
Cheers,
Rob
