Just googled for Crossraguel and your shot is better than the one on the website
. If its any consolation they haven't managed to get anymore of the abbey in their shot either. Not sure about the figures in the centre, they do add a sense of scale, but there is enough doorways and windows to do this anyway.
The problem we all face when taking a lanscape rears its head here I think, a very early start or late finish is required to get the best out of the light. Often impossible I know.
As i said on your other post, looks like a great place to take that camera
