I hear you Dan and thanks for trying to make me feel better <g> I do have a 20D (just couldn't find enough in the 30D to warrant the upgrade) and am delighted with what it can produce. I must say I am still harbouring hope against hope that the 40D might go full frame to really steal a march against the D200.
If it is and they can get it out at just below the grand mark, it will absolutely fly off the shelves faster than any DSLR to date in my opinion.
Oh well, can but dream
