Sarah, just as a little tip, the BG is clearly quite a way from the branch on which the bird is sitting so you can afford to go for a slightly narrower aperture, perhaps f 5.6, and still get good blurring. That in turn will give you a little more leeway in terms of depth of field so you should get the whole bird in good focus
