im using photomatix
i have 2 36gb raptors in raid0
not enough room to save my exposure triplets
as usual pixalolians are cool feedback givers
one of my newest photoshop editing tricks is using my b/w filter on colored pic after ive done levels
B/W Conversion - Photo-Plugins
i make a layer mono
then make a selective color adjustment layer over it
tweak the b/w till dynamic range looks good
then put it in luminosity and usually its a tad too light however it pulls up and alters the black grey white ratio on the colored version
i love it
and if i want a tint or to further play with the luminosity i use this lab mode filter

it gives the best tint tones using random

p.s. ive found better results usins capture1 to tweak white balance only
on the multiple images
then convert to 16 bit tiff
then feed them to hdr[photomatix]
got better pix with tiffs than raw in hdr convertor
