Ok folks, another chance to vote for colour or mono. I am doing this for a purpose, not just for fun. I know we have a widespread range of opinions on mono and colour on this forum ranging from the 'Just put everything in mono' brigade to those who have no real preference. I fall into the band of 'I love mono but I also love colour and want whatever looks best' and because of that I am looking for opinions on what type of shots work well when converted and which maybe lose something.
My previous pair came out strongly in favour of colour because it had such a strong coloured reflection that was lost in mono. But what about this time? Poole is the home of the RNLI who do a fantastic job around our coastline saving countless lives without renown or reward. I wanted a shot of their pilot boats (they work alongside the coastguard in looking after Poole Harbour, the 2nd largest natural harbour in the world) that set them in context. The lifting bridge is distinctive as there are only three of these in the whole of Europe.
Ok, what sayest thou? Colour....
or Mono...
Cheers,
Rob
