Re: Poole lifting bridge and lifeboats
To local people (designed for locals this one!) the shot is immediately obvious as the Poole Lifting Bridge is a landmark. Sydenhams is one of the most well-known local businesses having been there for over a hundred years and the Harbour Pilot boats connect this to the Harbour for which Poole is most famous.
That was my thinking anyway and when local people look at it, that is the way they always see it but I guess to people for whom the image is just boats and a bridge it doesn't have the same effect.
