Les,

I love the shot of the locust the detail, exposure and composition is superb. I can see what Charlotte means about the eyes, although I dont see that as too much of a big deal as there is so much other detail to look at on the critter.

My only point would be what seems like the disparity between the exposure between the foreground ans the background. Now I'm only new to this, and am probably speaking out of a hole in my head. But the background does seem to be too bright for the foreground. I can't put any more detail on it than that, I'd be interested to know what sort of post processing has been used.

Hope that makes kind of sense!!!
