This kind of thing tends to happen when you delete pictures from your card a lot. When I have off-loaded pictures i ALWAYS reformat the card, never just delete them.
If these pictures are causing a problem, a rescue disk such as that offered by SIlkstone might well help. Once you have got them off, i suggest you format the card and then run off a load of test shots. Try copying those across and see if they copy without problem. If they do, it is worth always formatting in future.
When i get a problem like this, i often find that deleting just the image showing as a parameter problem allows all the others to copy without a problem but it sounds like this isn't happening here. it is definitely worth checking with another computer if you have one handy like a laptop to see if they copy across to that. It is by no means unusual for it to fail on one but work on another.
Another thing that sometimes causes problems is the size of the card. Some card readers don't work so well with large cards. I have a built in card reader that absolutely refuses to work with my 4gb card yet it works fine with smaller cards. I use a USB card reader instead and this one works fine.
I hope you get the problem solved without losing any important images
Cheers,
Rob
