I know you are a dark and moody fan, Fiona, but I think that some of your recent monos are getting processed with high contrast and are just losing the shadow detail without giving the dark and moody effect.
I did the same thing if you remember, when I did those monos of Broughton Castle a while back. I thought I'd got them dark and moody, but everyone else said they were just too dark!
I think they work better with a more conventional process, as in the couple I pimped, but the moody atmosphere needs more than just high contrast.
I suppose what I'm trying to say is that I don't think you are getting the best from your monos as they are in between good ordinary images and moodies. In the last lot you have shown us, I think the colour ones are much better, although I think the tree in this thread is a bit lost against the field.
