Kind of an interesting image. One wonders what the boy is doing? Is he running, walking? What is he looking at off to the right in that shadowed area? If he is walking/running, his arms are not in the natural position for that. Is he deep in thought? Imagining stuff? Ah, the things childhood is made of.
In general, I really don't like photos of people backs. Their fronts are so much more interesting. But this works pretty well. I like the angle created by the boy and his shadow, directing the viewers eye back to the boy. I am not certain that the bg works this dark...a bit of lighening might be better.
Anyway, a pretty nice photo. Want to see more of your images.
