You might want to try leaning against glass to provide a bit of support tho' @1/6th even then there might be some movement. Personally, think you're better off changing the ISO to allow a better speed and DOF - better to get noise which can sometimes be rectified than movement/shallow DOF which can't!

Yes, true about not being able to use tripod anyway.
As you say, I could've increased ISO + I think a bit of noise wouldn't have shown up too badly as this is mainly dark tones, but I didn't think of that at the time

It was a family outing + I was conscious of holding the others up, so couldn't faff about too much.

It was the opposite with me Fi, I was so busy taking pic's I missed bits, like the talk they gave on the giant turtles (or whatever they were, not sure 'cos I wasn't listening LOL). Re: bottom of barbels, I thought them trailing out of the frame was more effective, but I can appreciate some wanting to see the ends too

Thanks peel, I use Serif PhotoPlus. I convert using the export feature (not save as) as I can re-size to specific size for pixalo this way. Hijack away for this help
