greetings from France

Hi to everyone just found this site and thought it would be a good idea to sign up as I may need help and advice in the future. I'm living in France now and am a volunteer photographer for the British War Memorial Project which aims to photograph all the headstones of all the British servicemen who have died and been buried throughout the world as a memorial to them all and to enable family and friends who can't travel to the sites to at least see and have a photo of their last resting place.

The project is run in conjuction with the Commonwealth War Graves Commision who look after and hold records of all who have fallen. My latest list has 176 British names in rural areas near me but in the north of France there are 10,s of thousands and we have just started doing all the canadians who fell in ww1 & ww2, that list has 17680 names and only covers cemetery's A to M, so in your travels some of you could help and hone up your skills, if you want to look at British War Memorial Project - British Commonwealth War Graves where you can find info on volunteering. Long post I know but thanks for reading this far.
