Canon has a DIGIC III processor. I'll eat my lens cap if the 40D doesn't use it, which makes me dubious about the rest of these specs.
Unless, and it's a big unless, Canon has a "7D" in the wings, a cut down 5D at a cut down price, essentially a 30D with a FF sensor. That would allow the 40D be underwhelming.
