I like the dramatic effect of the monochrome. It lends itself to the subject. The sky adds to the drama.
Personnally, I would have included more of the grave-yard to put the tomb into context but it works well as it is. We don't need to have the same tastes in everything.
Did you think of overlaying a small thistle? There was a girl in a red coat in Shindler's list that made such an impact since it was the only colour in the whole film.
