Sorry Sue, going to have to disagree with you here, especially as this is going to be given to the people who live there. They want a photo of what is there, not what their house might look like without the risers. In a lot of places, putting the house off the ground was vital to keep the house safe from flash floods, snakes, all sorts of reasons and thus form part of the character of this cracking place.

The type of bricks shown there were certainly available for use 100 years ago so it isn't as though they are out of place as such but either way, I really think they are important to the view of the house.

I think I'd have preferred an angular shot to show the side and front together but I also think if this shot is framed and given to the owners, they will be delighted with it :o)
