First off, I'd crop the dead space off the top.
2nd I'd blur + darken the BG. As Skip says, his body is very similar in colour to the BG, which is compounded by the lack of sharp focus on his body, which brings me to my 3rd suggestion: The fact that his head/neck are in sharp focus but his body is not, coupled with the actual join of his neck to his body being out of the pic, i.e. not visible, I had to look real hard to identify his body, because it blends with the BG. Does that make sense?

So I would sharpen his body to separate it from the BG. Oh and sharpen his eye too, as Skip points out his eye is not as sharp as the rest of his head/neck.
