Don't laugh,
have you tried IRFANVIEW free Slide show ,image adjust and now Auto colour with batch conversion. Also it will batch convert vitually any file to any file type.
It may pass away an hour and at least you can see the results and will not have to spend any cash!!. You can find it via Google down load from Tucows.
