Thank you all so much for your kind comments!

I am new at this and the only way I can improve is by taking on board your comments and suggestions.

The picture looks great printed out, but I see what you mean about the image on the screen being a little dark.

I am trying to take photgraphs digitally, as if using a 35mm film camera, so not using any post processing with Photoshop, unless a very minor tweak is needed.

My aim is to try and get the shot right first time! (not easy I know).

So I try and spend time geting the composition and framing right, exposure etc....

I suppose, with the power of Photoshop, it would be easier for me to adjust the photos accordingly, so that a greater number were acceptable.. but I am going to try and resist the urge to play around with my shots, rather spending the processing time, taking photos.

This is by no means a criticism of anyone who utilises the full power photoshop, but just my own way of learning about using my camera and to try an improve on my compositions.
