I like this a lot Jewel. Stuff the rule of thirds, it was made to be broken and this is why! The drum is necessary as it speaks into the picture. The open door is also important as we know this is where people come and go and ignore the guy trying to scrape his next meal together. The angle of the pavement (sidewalk to you Skip <g>) works really well and the lighting is great: dark enough to give mood to the image while still allowing just the merest glimpse of the man who doesn't want us to see too much of him.

Love it, well done.... and I hope you stuck a few coins in his case as a thank you
