Not your standard Cardinal shot - maybe that is why this one appeals to me. I also know how tough it is getting these guys to sit still. I can guess that since there is a spider web in good focus on the RHS that the bird and branch are not in focus because they were moving. Like I said - its tough and more often than not, a numbers game - take a zillion shots and hope one or two caught them in focus.

I really don't want to reopen the bokeh box argument but whatever that pattern is in the background - I like it.
