She's not on it all the time, just on occasion where leashes are required for dogs (no exception, despite we'll carry her for the most part, or just need to keep her in one place)
On the other hand even if she's only about 7 weeks old, it's never too early to get them used to the idea of having a leash around their neck, it saves some trouble for when they are older and bigger to give you a little more fuss about it.
