Taking half decent wildlife pictures is something I really hope to achieve, but these pesky feathered beasties just won't play ball. I have tried to make a concentrated effort over the past few days to take pictures of the birds in the garden (in between rain showers) - but they just won't stay put!
Mr and Mrs Chaffinch seem to have gone on hunger strike and not been since I got the camera out. The Goldfinches have become no more than a colourful streak as they fly away. The Sparrows seem to be conducting mass meetings involving much flurrying and flapping. The Greenfinches pose beautifully but must have a sixth sense when it comes to me pressing the shutter. The Blue Tits must be resting after raising so many babies, the Coal Tit and Great Tit make the occasional fly past (I am sure I can hear them laughing). The Thrushes are just too busy collecting worms...
Which leaves the following attempts:
Greedy Jackdaw
Mr Blackbird
Young Blue Tit - who will get very tubby the amount he is consuming!
