Hmmmm foxy not sure whats going on with these two, very noisy pictures with not alot of detail, was a tripod used? and also what ISO setting are you using?

Also looking at the file sizes for your pics there well under the permited sizes, your alowed 1000 pixels on the longest edge, increasing the image size might add a bit more detail. When i convert my pictures to the web i set my images to 1000 pixels on the longest side and as close to 200k overall file size, which shouldn't reduce the quality of the picture too much. What process are you using to reduce your picture sizes?
