Compact Flash Card Failures

I think this thread will be a lost cause for me but I will describe my problem with one of my CF cards, a Delkin eFilm PRO.

Yesterday I conviced my daughter to borrow my Canon 350D slr and she used her 70-300mm zoom lens. Up to now she has always used her Canon eos film slr.

After taking about 60 shots she was hoping to get 3 or 4 shots to enter in a local photo competition.

We were on our way home yesterday and I noticed that on switching on the camera an err CF came up displayed on its lcd.

When the card was plugged into the computer card reader the CF drive was not present and it would not recognise the CF card.

I have used my SanDisk Rescue Pro software and it still does recognise that the CF card is present in the reader.

I gather from my observations that the camera has blown the CF card up for some reason and that there is no I/O communication.

Can anyone of you Pixalo experts think of a way to retreive my daughters "Port Folio" please ?

Needless to say she is not too impressed with my all electronic kit!!!

Regards Brian
