I quite like the leaf edge and leaf spine making two parallel diagonals - I'm not too fussed about the out of focus parts but think your problem in this image is that OK there are out of focus parts on either side but because the background is also out of focus you've got half as much apparent out of focus area on the left compared to the right.

I wonder if this sticks out to me because the background tones are much colder than the leaf. You could try getting something else of a similar tone, even another leaf to fill that triangle but keep it out of focus which might balance things.

Lovely and sharp anyway - I'm intrigued by the way the veins of the leaf look almost like the spirals adhere to the fibonacci ratio - I wonder how much magnification you'd need to focus on just one of those.
