thanx both of you,
i did try to get a lower angle but i was a bit wary of being knocked over in the rush as this was Edinburgh on the first day of the Fringe and very VERY busy.....
Skip focal length was 55mm using the 18-55mm lens, f5.6.
and no i did not interact with her in anyway.
Although in the image she portrays just what u described, in reality she actually looks a bit of a battle axe, as she was watching over someone who i think was her son run their stall!
