Hi Fiona. I like this shot the lady and the dog seem together
and is only spoilt for me by the pole. On these shots I tend to get involve with cloning and trying to improve them rather than deletion. Why not have a go and clone out the pole . If you enlarge it in sections and clone in close up I think you will be encouraged by the results.
Studying you picture do I detect that you have selectively guasian blurred the backgound about 2 feet from the curb backwards ? with this mask you may also tone down the brightness a little to minimise the headlamp of the car.

PS Fiona, I have carried out a few minutes cloning on your picky and darkened the headlamp I hope you find this helpful. I suppose this is really a PIMP your picky thread?.
