I hope I'm not going to burst your bubble here Dave but I hope you've still got your D70. If I remember correctly the D70 has a much weaker IR filter than the D200 giving it a much better IR capability. I was told not to bother doing IR images with the D200 as it is just not possible to get a decent image.
I'm sure a quick Google will throw up more info.
