OK, it's too late for this year but when in Cardiff last week I stumbled on an interesting exhibition of entries in a photomarathon. It seems they hold one every year (this year there was one in Cardiff and one in Glasgow). The idea appears to be that you are given a 12 film roll and 12 subjects, you then have 12 hours to get back with your 12 images representing each of those subjects.
I reckon that's a bit of a challenge in this digital snap happy, "have 10 tries 'cause it doesn't cost you anything" age, I know I'd struggle.
The winners seem to be chosen more on the originality of their ideas than anything else and it was quite interesting to see how numerous different people interpretted the challenge.
Here's the site
Photomarathon 2007, there's shots from the winners of recent years, might be worth keeping an eye out for next year.
Sorry if this is old news but I'd never heard of this concept before.
cheers
Dan
