Re: dedacated IR camera

I have considered getting one, I have worked {USA} overtime hours, it's like none stop and have reached a goal where I might perchase one. The right filter is a concern. My thinking is that in my area around me I have very hot weather and very cold weather and there are times that I just get tired of 85% green around me with a load of poison Ivy and or brown for it seems half the year, it would open up another form of photography. I think I am ready to cross the line but needed to check in here to find out what was everyone's thought's on IR filters and the color detail conversion to black and white and or haveing more color, if the conversion is less impacting from a filter with more color?
