Good luck Dave,
almost did the same to an olympus point an shoot. but thought about it to much, I still don't know if the sensor in that camera is bonded to the hot-mirror. I am going with a 400D, I am starting to feel the tie down to lenses. I have made up my mind though, dedicated IR is the only way to go for me and look forward to exchanging ideas.
