Just to prove that you can't please all of the people all of the time, I think the colour shot is great but the b/w loses it all.

The pilot's face stands out in colour, but is lost in the b/w. Similarly, all the detail around the cockpit and the helmet is there in colour but not in b/w.

I'm not the world's biggest fan of b/w (even if it is the new black), but to me this is an example of where colour adds a great deal to the photo, and b/w masks it. :wink:
