Hi Mary, by duplicating I mean that using Photoshop I duplicated the entire picture to a second layer (Just press Ctrl+J) which gives you two layers that are identical. Then change the blending mode on the layer pallet which it is worth playing with to see the diffeent results. When you get one you like but is maybe a bit strong, just reduce the opacity of the top layer so that it reduces the strength of the effect.

To finish, combine the layers back together by selecting the top layer and pressing Ctrl+E.
