Was in Jessops yesterday talking about (and trying for size!) the 40D - price £786.95. Stock not an issue as they've plenty!

Despite beginning to sound like a Canoneer, I was quite impressed with it (tho' the exposure compensation of +/- 2.0 is really beginning to bug me: this morning, Canon 350D -2.0 and burned highlights, Sigma SD10 -2.7 and spot on!). We agreed on a couple of things being a waste of time/space - but he knew of one person who used the print button (small dye-sub 6x4 to print proofs on location)!

Live View was quite impressive - easy to switch on and with the wide angle of view on the LCD I could just about use the camera overhead but not so well at ground level (but angle finder is much easier there anyway)
