I have been out of the business for just over 20 years and getting back into it.
I have been waiting for Digital Photography to come of age, especially in the mechanical nuts 'n' bolts and response times of what is on the market.
I am doing industrial and scientific work only but, natural history and many other topics kind of creep into this area.

I am a design engineer by education and very much into a good technical challenge!
One of my pet subjects in photography for fun is High speed work, hence me waiting for digital gear to mechanicaly to come up to speed when interfacing with specialized gear.
I am quite good at dealing with high voltage, therefore High speed high power flash is an area never covered by any OEM but I have an answer for everything in that field if anyone wants some help?

Digital is a little new to me as I have not avidly followed all the latest news but, just to sit back and wait for it to get where I want it.
So, I may have a dumb question for some of you but, as my wife say's to me, "there's no such thing as a dumb question'.

Having Emmigrated from the UK to Canada and then again to the USA I have been a busy guy in life over the past few years but, it's all a learning curve and I have much to tell and share.

The main reason for me joining this group is to share knowledge and if I can in some way help others nomatter where so when I have time, I will be putting in my two-penneth and at the same time hope I get some Q's that I can answer for the best.
