Tripod and Head: Velbon Sherpa Pro CF and Manfrotto 3D head (can't remember the models, sorry!)
Camera Bag/Rucksack: Lowepro Slingshot 200 AW, Crumpler Shrinkle, Crumpler Ben's Pizza XXL
Additional Items: Epson P-5000 Photo Storage, lots of filters, hoods, reflectors, other bits and bobs ;)
Re: Canon 400D second lens
I would expect to shoot at ISO400 or more likely 800 indoors. In dim lighting - i.e. evenings etc, maybe even 1600 or 3200 to get shake free pics.
IS lenses will help, as will faster lenses...
