I think that technique would work with an overall tighter crop, but it does look a bit odd here since you have included so much under her chin but chopped the top of her head off. I'd suggest cropping the bottom to just include her shoulders, + crop the RHS up to the edge of her shoulder.

However, in this case her eyes are very prominent anyway.
