I can't really help but I'm concerned that C1 may write to the card - otherwise how did the icon get there? Does that appear if you just look at the card contents from the OS?
I prefer to copy from the card to a suitable directory using the file manager rather than a downloader.
Assuming you're using Windows, reinstalling C1 over the top of the old one may not help if there are corrupt application files, and you may need to completely uninstall it and start again.
