The "best" solution I've seen is an old outdoor jacket and make a cover from a sleeve and part of the body. Advantage is that it can breathe (so no condensation) and you can reproof it.

I'll probably try this, using the optical window from my Rain Hood to make it totally waterproof - I'm just waiting 'til I reckon there's really is no more life in an old walking jacket I've got!
