I won't be sorry to see the back of Jessops. The very fact you get such hit or miss service with them says to me they were overstretched, putting too many camera shops in too many towns with too few experienced staff.
I drove out to the Ythan estuary once, great birdlife spot, realised I'd left all my CF cards at home so nipped in to the Ellon shop, where my choices were pay something like 4 times expensive internet price for a 1GB card, or put my camera in the boot and go for a wander with the binoculars.
