White Balance

I'm still struggling to get my head around white balance - not enough time in the day to concentrate at the moment - so a quick question if I may.

I'm trying to shoot a silouhette in sunset...now, I did this before and with more luck than judgement I got a nice warm sky. I'm trying to do the same but the sky I'm getting in the shots is is very cold and blue.

Will altering the white balance affect this and help me get the desired warmness to the shot and, if so, what sort of setting do I need?
