This stone circle, although interesting as a historical monument and situated in a great place, is definitely a challenge to photograph! I've only been there three or four times and apart from this and a couple of other images have never really been too excited about the results I obtained.

I have to say that one of the most boring photographs I have ever seen of this site was done by Fay Godwin for her book 'Land' many years ago. At that time it made me realise that a) this is a difficult site and b) some photographers aren't as good as their reputations would have you believe!

Anyone else got pics of Castlerigg we can have a look at?
