Crop 1.5" off the left of number one and maybe lift the shadow under the bridge slightly and you've got a lovely shot there Ray
No 2 is less well-composed. The problem is, I look at it and see that lovely old lock but have been deprived of seeing the whole of it which looks really interesting. But I also see the waterfall which because you have given me all of it I must assume is the main point of the picture. But it's relatively small in the shot and to get anything smooth and dynamic, you'd need to use a neutral density (ND) filter to slow down the shutter speed.
If this is a place local to you then do go back and have another go here, and let's see that lovely old lock. Waterfalls of that size are two a penny but locks like that make a great picture that tells a story
