I'd go with _MB_ here Woody. Have a good look around and I'm sure you will find some decent tape that will do the job OK if it only has to hold the frame together.

Halfords used to do a clear tape that is very robust and has great adhesive power. It has a green tint when you look at the roll, but is clear. I used it to patch a broken window of a caravan that was out in the open all of the time and it never shifted.

From memory it can take extreme tempreatures of heat and cold and is waterproof too.
