They prefer bank debits rather than CC as its more difficult to fraud with bank accounts and they don't generally expire after a couple of years. Also with bank debits the money is either there or its not and Paypal don't complete the transfer until they have all the funds...much safer for them. No chargebacks or later reports of stolen credit cards
