I don't drive so Oban is a great place for me to visit.So many ferries/sails available to a number of islands.For anyone thinking of a visit to Argyll/West Highlands it's about as good a 'base' as you can get.All you need is a bit of luck [pack a waterproof]!!.I'm talking weather here folks.Catch it fair and it's a paradise,being merely beautiful in less clement weather
