Agree with Silky about knowing the photographer + have to admit I'm more comfortable giving a
full critique to pixalonians whom I know, and I do back off a bit with newbies ... just so that they have something to look forward to
When receiving critique, it's as well to remember that a lot of it is down to personal taste, but if you have a lot of ppl saying the same things, then you know there's got to be something in what they're saying. If someone gets offended by genuine critique, then they're not ready to receive critique. And that's not a criticism

Our own photo's are very personal to us + so yes, we can take critique personally; the trick to not getting offended is to remember that opinions + advice offered are
meant in a helpful way.
