Wonderful! Well, the first two cars anyway!

Some years ago I drove a Morris 8 - crash box, no brakes to speak of, etc - and was being followed down a steepish hill in the Dales by a friend in an Austin 7 - crash box, no brakes at all - and I remember looking in the mirror and seeing this expression of horror as they got ever closer and couldn't slow down. I had to speed up a bit, and luckily we reached the bottom of the hill before meeting too closely.

Cars of that era are fantastic, provided the roads are as deserted as they were in that era.
