I am not a fan of this style so perhaps difficult to give a balanced opinion here but I'll try.

I think you've done a decent job of applying the technique, slightly too strongly but it is effective. The red is very strong and I think that could do with toning down slightly.

The reason I am not keen on the technique is that, as a glasses wearer, it sort of reminds me of the extremely irritating effect of walking into a warm building from a cold outside which steams your glasses up and makes everything look blurred. Perhaps the fact I hate that when it happens is why I don't like the Orton effect, everything looks a touch out of focus and doesn't appeal.

It's all a taste thing of course and I can entirely understand that this technique is popular with some, in the same way as mono is popular with others and so forth. Good job we don't all go for the same things
